Project Background:
‘INCLUSIVE EDUCATION – EARLY GRADE READING’ is a pilot project which has been implemented in the 4 districts of Mid-western and Far-western Region. This project is financially supported by UNICEF and operating with technical partnership of Handicap International and KIRDARC. In Mid-western and Far-western Development Region It has been lunched in Aacham, Bajura, Mugu and Kalikot. In Kalikot District, It has been running in 4 Primary Schools, 3 Secondary schools and 3 Higher Secondary Schools of 7 VDCs (Syuna, Kotwada, Gela, Pakha, Badalkot, Daha, and Manma) and In Mugu District; It has been running in 5 Primary Schools, 2 Lower Secondary Schools, 1 Secondary School and 1 Higher Secondary School of 3 VDCs (Karkibada, Pina and Shreenagar). The overall goal of the project is ‘to improve their Learning methodology and make a conducive learning environment for early grade reading children.’
Nepal is a developing country. So, here is no easy access of education to the people, which is the fundamental human right. Now days, I/NGOs are playing important role for the development of every sector in Nepal. We need to start many more programs for the development & bring change in our community. And our program contributes to have easy access to education to the children with disabilities (CWD) and contribute to improve their learning achievement.
