Expected Reults

  • Improved school systems and increased access of the poor and marginalized to quality education in the region such as the reduction of dropout rates and retention of children in primary, lower secondary and secondary schools. 
  • Improved teaching learning environment, increased community engagement and child participation is another indicator. 
  • Informed and capable youths involved in creative activities contributing to community development, peace promotion at community levels for social transformation.  
 
Indicative Activities 
  • Capacity enhancement of key actors to improve monitoring, supervision and system of good governance practices within schools 
  • Strengthening and expansion of Early Childhood Development opportunities for all children with special focus on girls, persons with disabilities, Dalit chidren, Janajatis and other marginalized and poor communities 
  • Promoting and strengthening child friendly teaching learning environment in schools
  • Ensuring access to alternative education opportunities or re-schooling for out of school children and dropouts
  • Capacity building of youths through organizing and skill/vocational training, and promoting their engagement in community development, livelihood improvement and other social development processes 
  • Strengthening capacity of TEC, SMC, VEC, RC, DEC in the areas of proper school management, and information collection and analysis to ensure access to quality education of children and their protection in schools
  • Integration of the rights of the children in all ongoing and future programmes
  • Advocacy for policy influence, structural adjustment, implementation of government commitment to education for all and enhancement of stakeholder accountability
  • Promotion of community participation in the management of schools
 

Programs
